01 · Who we are
TRAIN X is a training app for endurance athletes, run by Vincent Ghyssens (OWS Ventures). Questions or requests: vincent@ows.ventures.
02 · What we collect
- Your account: email address and a hashed password.
- Your plan: race, objectives, the answers you give when a plan is built, session choices (easier, harder, moved, skipped) and the suggestions you approve or keep.
- From the services you connect (Intervals.icu, TrainingPeaks, Google Calendar): planned workouts, completed activities and their summary metrics, feel and RPE, and fitness, fatigue and form.
- From the iPhone app: push tokens, so today’s session can reach your Lock Screen.
- If you join the waitlist: your email address.
- Anonymous page-view statistics on the website (Vercel Web Analytics, no cookies).
03 · How we use it
Only to run the app for you: build and adapt your plan, put your sessions on your calendar and devices, mark them done, and show your progress. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share it with anyone beyond the services below. Your data is shown only to you.
04 · Connected services
When you connect Intervals.icu, TrainingPeaks or Google Calendar, you choose what TRAIN X may access on their consent screen. We read and write only what the features above need: planned workouts and calendar events going out, activities and fitness data coming back. You can disconnect at any time from TRAIN X or from the service itself; we then delete the access tokens and the data we copied from that service.
05 · Who processes it
- Vercel: hosting and web analytics.
- Neon: the account database.
- Upstash: plan and settings storage.
- Anthropic, through Vercel AI Gateway: writing your plan from your race and your answers. Activity data is not sent to it.
- Apple: push notifications to your iPhone.
06 · Keeping and deleting
We keep your data while you have an account. Ask at vincent@ows.ventures and we will send you a copy of it, correct it, or delete your account and everything attached to it within 30 days.
07 · Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything that affects how your data is used will be announced in the app first.
